Hybrid Revolution is Sime’s innovative hybrid system that integrates a heat pump and a condensing boiler into a single compact wall-mounted unit, completely eliminating the need for an outdoor unit. A solution designed to make the benefits of hybrid technology accessible even in buildings with architectural constraints or limited space, where the traditional installation of a heat pump is complex or impossible. Thanks to a patented dual-duct technology, Hybrid Revolution uses two wall grilles for air intake and discharge, leaving the building exterior virtually unchanged from an aesthetic point of view. Inside the unit, the ducted inverter heat pump and the condensing boiler operate in coordination to ensure comfort, service continuity and high energy efficiency.
Hybrid management is fully automatic: the heat pump operates as the primary source down to –7 °C, while the boiler intervenes only to cover the residual demand. The dual evaporator technology allows heat recovery from both outdoor air and combustion flue gases, cooling them down to approximately 10 °C and thereby increasing the overall efficiency of the heat pump, with a high COP and stable performance across the entire operating range.
Designed for quick and easy replacement of old boilers, Hybrid Revolution enables pin-to-pin installations by using existing connections and is compatible with radiators, fan coils and underfloor heating systems. In its standard configuration, it produces instantaneous domestic hot water via the integrated boiler, with the option to use an additional DHW storage tank kit to further enhance the use of renewable energy sources.
Hybrid Revolution also ensures maximum silent operation, thanks to the absence of an outdoor unit and dedicated soundproofing solutions. It uses natural refrigerant R290, with extremely low environmental impact, and is ready for the use of biomethane and hydrogen-blended gases, contributing to reduced energy consumption and improved building energy rating.
The remote control supplied as standard enables full system management, featuring a colour graphic display, weekly programmable thermostat and Class VI room control. Integrated Wi-Fi connectivity allows remote control via the Sime Connect App, enabling system monitoring, temperature and schedule adjustments, and notifications of any anomalies.
With the optional SRS room sensors, Hybrid Revolution can manage up to 8 zones independently, including wireless configurations, allowing customised comfort control and further reduction in energy consumption.
Thanks to the extensive use of renewable energy, Hybrid Revolution allows estimated bill savings from 25% up to 40% compared to a traditional boiler, depending on building characteristics and usage habits. Replacing an old boiler with a hybrid system can also lead to an improvement of up to two energy classes, increasing property value and aligning it with future energy efficiency regulations.
